Why Scouting?
Scouting prepares children for life.
Every parent does their best to provide for their children’s basic needs, protect their children from danger, and prepare them for when we won’t be there.
Providing & protecting take up nearly all of parents’ time. We have a limited window to help our children gain the values that will prepare them for the rest of their lives.
Scouting creates a framework for us to join with other parents to prepare our children to make ethical and moral choices over their lifetimes by instilling in them the values of the Scout Oath and Law.
Results don't lie.
Youth completing the Scouting program are more likely to:
Have advanced planning & preparation skills, be goal-oriented, and network with others
Be leaders at work & in the community
Have closer relationships with family & friends
Volunteer in their community
Donate to charitable groups
Work with others to improve their neighborhoods
